BIG HEART DESIGN

Case Study

GBOD.org
Client: The General Board of Discipleship
Responsibilities: Project management, user-experience documentation and
visual design

The General Board of Discipleship is a global agency of The United Methodist Church. The mission of the General Board of Discipleship is to provide quality resources and services to help church leaders build systems that enable every congregation to fulfill its primary task of making disciples of Jesus Christ.

The General Board of Discipleship came to Big Heart Design with an existing design system and a wealth of user research. We were hired to project manage the build of GBOD.org, the official website of the agency. It was also our responsibility to create a highly sophisticated user-experience document that outlined all front and back-end interactions. The beautiful design system that the Board of Discipleship developed required the extensive creation of page comps that mapped across the site. The new GBOD.org is scheduled to launch in 2009.

Matt Carlisle and Big Heart Design represent the best of Web consultancies: passion, expertise, creativity, and most importantly of all, an ability to deliver what they promise. In project after project, Carlisle and Big Heart have proven themselves on projects big and small.

Matt’s one of the few people I know who not only has high ideals for what the Web can do for his clients, but can turn those ideals into to practical, measurable Web projects. His ideas represent what the Web is meant to be.
